“From the blue, to the line”, a subtle and delicate world

Until September 27th, the gallery of the Tourist Board is welcoming an exhibit featuring the paintings of Gisèle Tchitchiama, signature Somboho. Adjectives abound to describe her works: lightness, gracefulness, sensuousness, fineness, discreetness, elegance, all enfolded in a light, supple and wide movement.

Therefrom arises, then, something akin to a melody. Eventually visitors twirl around themselves, caught in an eddy of paintings so individually different in the materials used and in their presentation, yet all imprinted with the same unique essence. A light journey to which the artist invites you.

Gisèle Tchitchiama, the artist, was born in Brazzaville, Congo, raised in France and has been living in Hong Kong for several years now: she is imbued by a diversity of cultures.

Her personal journey and professional career are equally rich and varied, marked by significant encounters.

Although Gisèle Tchitchiama is currently in Hong Kong, she does give us the opportunity of meeting her through these works filled with gracefulness and fineness.
